Woodridge Public Library

Interior Renovation

This project included the renovation to the interior of this three-level public library. The scope of the work included a new space plan with carpeting, lighting, mill-work, finishes and paint throughout. The renovation is designed to improve both the library’s floor plan and public circulation. The second floor was renovated to house the new Children’s Story Time Room with movable partition, study room and storage. With these major improvements there were several mechanical systems that were reconfigured and upgraded.

Working closely with the owner and Architect, FQC phased all the work so that the Library remained open through project completion. Main project components included:

New Finishes Construction of Training Lab New Lighting Remodeling of Children’s Area Remodeling of Staff Workroom

I always felt as if FQC was as concerned and invested in the success of the renovation as my staff and Board. The team of people we worked with had strength in years of experience and was responsive to our concerns and issues both as the project developed and in its execution. Susan McNeil-Marshall
