FQC Attends Skokie School District 73.5 Groundbreaking Ceremony

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) recently attended Skokie School District 73.5's Groundbreaking Ceremony marking the start of Phase II of the Elizabeth Meyer School Additions & Renovations Project.  

The Meyer School building expansion plans call for a one-story early childhood center and a new library.  Seven new classrooms, including a room for art and music, a gross motor room for special education students and three small instruction offices, will be added to the building.  The addition is expected to total 23,000 SF and the project is scheduled to be completed this fall.

Skokie Park District Selects FQC for their Parks Services Maintenance Facility Project

Skokie Park District has once again selected Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) as Construction Manager for their upcoming project - Park Services Maintenance Facility.  The Park District will be relocating from 7701 Skokie Boulevard to their newly purchased property at 7500 Frontage Road.  The 30,400 SF building that is on the new site is already zoned for a parks and maintenance facility and will be renovated to fit the Park's needs.  

 

 

FQC Successfully Completes GSA Passport Offices and Lobby Project

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) recently completed the renovations to the GSA Passport Offices and Lobby project located in Chicago, IL.

The first floor work included the reconfiguration of a portion of the Clark Street lobby, the security screening area off of the Clark street lobby, as well as a reconfiguration of the CIS lobby and security screening area.

The ninth floor work included the build out of the Passport Agency offices.  The work included approximately 26,550 SF of tenant improvements work, including; general plumbing, fire protection, and life safety, and systems construction.  All work was required to comply with the Department of State securing standards.  The replacement of the existing Air Handling Units (AHU's), and related equipment, was also included as part of this project.

This project is seeking LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

 

Glenview Park District Facilities East Building Wins Outstanding Facility and Park Award

The Illinois Park and Recreation Association recently awarded the Oustanding Facility and Park Award to the team responsible for the Glenview Park District Facilities East Building.  The Glenview Park District, Dewberry Architects and FQC were honored at this year's 2017 IAPD/IPRA Annual Conference, during the IPRA business meeting held on January 20th in Chicago.  This award recognizes public agencies for their exceptional and unique achievements in design and development.
